Bizarro Sketch Night in San Francisco

If you're in the San Francisco area Thursday night, be sure to check out an unusual fundraiser being by Ben Walker. Bizarro Sketch Night is an event where artists draw using their "bad" hand. These sketches will then be auctioned, proceed to help artist Jamie Baker with medical bills incurred after a devastating stroke in December 2012.

With his drawing hand paralyzed, Jamie is learning to draw all over again, using his former "bad" hand, now his good hand. With the same challenge given to other artists, the results should be very interesting to say the least.  The event takes place at the 111 Minna Gallery  where 2nd St meets Minna St, south of Market in the city.  It's a short walk from the Market St BART station too!

Ben provided FLIP a list of some of the participating artists:
James Baker (Jamie)
Michael Capozzola
Josh Ellingson
Emonic
Josh Herbolsheimer
John Hoffman
Eric Joyner
Julia Lundman
Christine MacTernan
Iggy Medeiros
Scott Morse
Joe Mur
Rob Reger
Isabel Samaras
Donta Santistevan
Marcos Sorensen
Nate Stanton
Amanda Storey
Nicomi Nix Turner
Jean-Philippe Vine
Ben Walker
John Williams (Super Ugly)
Augie Pagan

Special guest DJ, Aaron Delachaux!

I also heard a rumor that friend of FLIP Ed Bell would be there too.
Head on out to the Bizarro Sketch Party!   Tell them FLIP sent you and get a free strange look!

  1. Quite informative post on this night sketch in San Francisco. Recently, booked one of the graceful San Francisco event venues for arranging a night party with my friends. They all attended this party and we enjoyed a lot there.
